We arrived in early August on a weekday. I really enjoyed the soba here. The texture is excellent—firm yet smooth—and both the hot and cold soba are delicious. The omelet is also a must-try, fluffy and flavorful. The restaurant sells fresh local produce, which is nice to browse after your meal. Parking is available right in front of the restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful, guiding us through the menu and even showing us the proper way to enjoy the soba. We were lucky to arrive with no queue, and the food came out quickly, so we didn’t have to wait long. A great spot for authentic hand-made soba, perfect for a satisfying and comforting meal in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
View on GoogleI visited on Sunday around AM11:15, and there was 1 group waiting to be seated. I managed to order 十割そば and 寒ざらしそば from the limited-time menu (each limited to 20 servings per day). The 寒ざらしそば in particular had a pronounced soba flavor, went down smoothly, and was a delicious dish. What concerned me was that when the restaurant became very crowded, the staff other than the energetic person—perhaps the person in charge of service?— seemed to have little room to spare for customer service. It took about 20 minutes for the order to arrive.
View on GoogleA lovely soba shop in a small town! An always-popular place serving authentic handmade soba! The interior is spacious, with counter seats, tables, horigotatsu, and raised seating! The 十割蕎麦 is popular and often sells out by lunchtime! 二八蕎麦 is delicious too, but I would really like you to try 十割蕎麦 with salt! The tempura is crisp, and the ingredients shine! There are limited-time dishes too, so it is nice to enjoy seasonal offerings! You can drink the soba cooking water, and apparently you can take home "天かす" if the timing is right! You can have coffee too—the service is excellent!
View on Google手打ちそば そば哲 本店 is in a somewhat out-of-the-way location, so I think visiting by car is essentially expected. It gets busy because it is popular, but turnover is quick, and my impression is that if you can park, you can go straight in without concern. The food itself is very good, with the soba's own flavor and texture clearly coming through, showing its high quality. The tempura is also exceptional; eating it after letting it absorb just the right amount of broth is truly blissful. Few places have such a good pairing of soba and tempura. The staff are very polite too, and I would like to say it is flawless overall, but the only drawback is that it is cash only. Perhaps that is understandable given the location, but I often do not carry cash these days, so that is the one thing to watch when visiting. Even allowing for that, this is a highly accomplished soba shop that makes me want to return.
View on Google【Crisp ごぼ天】 A soba restaurant facing the national highway on the way to Atsuma. The spacious interior was full, despite the awkward time after lunch on a weekday. It was the season when soba from the new harvest was starting. The thin-cut 二八そば lets you fully enjoy the aroma of soba. The slightly sweet dipping sauce, fragrant with bonito, pairs well too, and makes you want to keep eating. The tempura was crisp and crunchy, and I enjoyed it. The ゴボウ天, with its noticeable sweetness, was outstanding. The soba cooking water was exceptionally thick, thicker than any I had tried before. I savored it thoroughly. The soba was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
