A retro cafe in Abashiri. Climb a flight of stairs up to 2nd level. There are 4 parking lots. The apple pie with ice cream is very good. It is quiet in June on a weekday 3pm.

I finally went into Nichiyoujima, which I'd been curious about for a while. The shop, on the 2nd floor in that location, made an impact. Inside it felt relaxed and homey, with Abashiri-style decorations here and there and a decent number of comics, so it looked like a place to take it easy. Unfortunately the daily/weekly set meal had ended for the time, but the hamburg steak set was pretty good.
