Located on jalan kaliurang, this is a branch of the legendary mbah carik jadah tempe on kaliurang and telogo putri. Place itself is just like a traditional home, since they mainly serve jadah and tempe, there is only a few seatings available. Serving time isn't quick enough to keep the queing line short. Especially on a crowded hour, it can take up to 20minutes on crowded hour. In holiday season, it can take longer. Taste is just the same from the one in kaliurang and telogo putri.

one of the traditional vendor food at Jogja very recommended for whom looking traditional food "Jadah Tempe Tahu" Jaddah its made from sticky rice , and Tempe and tahu (tofu) from soya been they also call "Tempe and Tahu Bacem" because its mean the process of cooking using sweet sauce, brown sugar and cook in a couple of hours the results of the color of Tempe and Tahu became darkened and had sweet tasted

Another recommended snacks to try while you're in Jogjakarta. Jadah is a sticky rice and usually be eaten with Tempe or Tahu Bacem (its a sweet and dark Tempeh and Tofu) Price are very cheap and there will be crowds when buying it. They already put a sign where to queue but seems the crowds just ignored it. They also have other chips and snacks to buy like tofu chips.

The original Mbah Carik jadah tempe in Jalan Kaliurang, still using the traditional home as the shop. In addition they also sell variety of snacks and crackers. The price is about doubled compared to what you can find in traditional wet market. But, of course the ingredient and taste are excellent.

Favorite place to stop by and eat jadah and wajik Mbah Carik. So legend, tasty and make us want to come by. They made it traditionally and this snack can stay within 2 days because it's made naturally without preservatives. Affordable and really nice when you taste this with a cup of espresso or americano.
