I broke the fast with my wife at this exclusive Indonesian restaurant next to a rice field at a country road. A unique place because it offers venison dishes besides common dishes from lamb, chicken and vegetables. We enjoyed rice with venison rendang, venison spring roll, chicken satay, special spice milk, and iced lemon tea. The drinks were fresh. The venison spring roll was savory and crispy. Unfortunately the rendang and satay were too sweet. Reasonable prices. Good free WiFi. Free welcome drink (mineral water) and snack (plus a personal welcome letter). Spacious outdoor and indoor dining spaces with high chairs. Clean restrooms (with Western style toilets) and musholla. A spacious parking yard for motorbikes and cars. Minuses: the musholla is too small; long waiting for the meals (half an hour).

Went here for lunch and it was quite a pleasant experience. Ordered their menjangan satay and some soups, the food was alright, my personal favorite was the kari menjangan. The place was pretty nice, situated just next to the paddy field. I like the blue patterned tiles which gives the place a nice hue and definitely a peranakan feel. The waitress, Bunda, was very friendly; appreciate the warm hospitality from her. And the personal note was a nice touch as well.

Unfortunately, the main issue was with the service and management. The information about menu availability was inconsistent—initially confirmed as available, then unavailable upon arrival, and later offered in limited portion. When served, the quality was disappointing. There were also missing items and long waiting times (up to an hour), even after other dishes had been finished. The restroom was also uncomfortable due to its cramped layout and poor fixture placement. Overall, there’s room for improvement, especially in service consistency and overall customer experience.

I recently visited this restaurant and had a great experience. The food overall was delicious, but what really stood out was their Soto Tangkar. I loved the distinctive flavor that really hit the spot. The ambiance was calm and peaceful, making it a great spot to relax. The service was also top-notch - the staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Soto tangkat & tongseng menjangan were very very delicious, the best!! Even though I didn't order the menjangan satay due to out of stock, fyi this is their signature. I ordered es teler & this is the best es teler I've ever ate/drunk .. the soup was very tastefull. The service was awesome, 2 thumbs up for you guys!! Overall everything was awesome l, surely I'll come back to SATEGEDHE again !! Highly recommend!!
