A great place to enjoy authentic Javanese cuisine! The Mangut Lele is a must-try, rich, smoky, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. It was easily my favorite dish here. The atmosphere is cozy, the food is affordable, and there are plenty of delicious options to choose from. Highly recommended if you’re around Prambanan!

Located not far from Prambanan Temple. I decided to try this place because many Google reviews said the food was good, and it definitely didn't disappoint. It's a buffet-style local restaurant serving authentic Indonesian food and traditional Javanese cuisine. Rice and vegetables cost around IDR 13,000, while the side dishes are priced separately (chicken opor thigh around IDR 11,000, fried banana around IDR 7,000, and most other dishes are around IDR 7,000 as well). Sambal is free and you can take as much as you like. The fried banana was soooo good, I honestly don't know why 😂. The vegetables (I think they were cassava leaves) were surprisingly delicious too, even though I normally don't like vegetables at all. If you're visiting Prambanan, Yogyakarta, or Central Java and want to try authentic local food instead of tourist-oriented restaurants, this place is worth a visit. The food tastes homemade, the prices are very affordable, and it feels like a genuine local dining experience. Highly recommended for international tourists looking for traditional Indonesian food, authentic Javanese dishes, and a local restaurant near Prambanan Temple. But sorry, the staff were quite grumpy 😂

This restaurant was recommended to me by several friends, and it truly lives up to the hype. Even though it’s not located on the main road, the restaurant is always full, which says a lot about its popularity. The place has a wide parking area, and it’s always busy (parking is free). The staff greet customers cheerfully right at the entrance, which creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the start. I like the buffet concept, then pay at the cashier. The prices are affordable, and the food is satisfying. The fried banana is highly recommended. Overall, a great place for a casual and enjoyable meal.

The place was 50 m from the main road. They serve Javanese traditional dishes. We tried garang asem, soto daging, tempe goreng, telur dadar, wedang jahe geprek and es dawet. They're all good and tasty. Very recommended for all dining time. Open early at 7 AM and closed at 7 PM.

Very local spot with amazing food. You can mix whatever you want. It’s cheap, it’s delicious. Ideal spot for a lunch on the way back from temple to Yogya center.
