Historical remains estimated to be the former fortress of the Keraton/Pesanggrahan Ambarketawang. Only a chunk of the former fortress is visible, about 2m wide, 10m long, and 1.5m high. It is currently located in the middle of a residential area.

Tourism while learning about the history of the Yogyakarta Kraton

The location is in the correct Gunung Gamping site complex. It was the temporary residence of Sri Sultan HB I before the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Kraton was built. The material to build the Yogyakarta Kraton is said to have been taken from the limestone mountain which now only has a pile of limestone left that has been turned into a historical tourist attraction.
