Food was very sugary (tasted like candy), but nicely prepared & presented. No vegetables on menu nor avail on request. Not even cucumbers. Most diners here appear overweight, exactly what one would expect from sugary food with no sayur. This meal pictured was IDR 60.000 Dont regret trying it but won’t be back. Add kankung or at least timun to menu makes it a maybe.

For those who want to experience the taste of the past with simplicity of presentation yet rich flavor, please try this dish. It is one of the typical dishes of Yogyakarta and Indonesia.

When I came here in the afternoon, some chicken parts had already run out. The krecek here was thin, hard to chew, & hard too swallow. There were 3 street performers with traditional music instruments, making some unimportant noise.

The Gudeg is really awesome. That's why we couldn''t have a lots of choice if we came late. The placd is a bit hot and very limited parking lots. Better to use taxi or OJOL so you don't need to be busy with the car.

This is kinda bias, but if you're not a fan of sweet main dish, this place is totally not for you. We understand that traditional gudeg of Yogyakarta is supposed to taste sweet; but the food we tried on this place was truly on a different level of sweetness. Not only the gudeg, but boiled egg and chicken liver we ordered were all sweet. I couldn't even finish my food (guilty as charge 😣). Their place was hot and only several fan available. Don't think that we'll be dropping by again. But if you want to try traditional gudeg, you should give this place a go.
