Not many places here in the region selling this kind of comfort food. The place can be approached through Google Maps cause it's located inside some alleyways in case you got lost. The inside looks spacious though, and clean as well. Speaking of the food, here you would get a Tauto, which in my opinion it's kinda the version of the dish that is slightly sweet than the usual and original one back in its "homeground". The broth is reddish, and tasted rather light in spice, rather savory. An additional " Tauto mixed spice" can be asked if the dish doesn't really meet the expectation or you just want to add more depth into the flavor so that it's slightly heavier and saltier. The serving size here is quite large, you would find this huge chunks of meat inside with an okay portion of "Lontong" too. Here you can also ordered some fritters to accompany the dish. The price is really affordable for such food, for 15k, rather in the same level as many Beef "Soto" would be but with a lot more flavor and fillings inside. Plus the lady is so helpful and polite, you would not be deterred.
View on GoogleThis place is an excellent restaurant for those who have allergies or any kind of discomfort. The soup is incredibly healthy. The ingredients that is used in this food is fresh and natural. The owner of the restaurant is wise and kind. Im really happy with this place and I'm coming back for it every morning 👍.
View on Google3 Jun 26/ Tauto 18k, orange juice + 2 flour tempeh 7k. Tauto is soto with tauco, the flavor is savory, with a hint of sweetness and the distinctive fermented aroma of tauco. Delicious, the fillings are lontong, beef, glass noodles, boiled red beans, sprinkled with green onions and fried shallots. The fermentation taste is not strong when eating the fillings, but after the fillings are gone and you sip the remaining broth, that's when it feels strong. The flour tempeh is delicious, freshly fried so it's still hot, savory and tender with green onions mixed in the batter. The standard orange juice is delicious, sweet. The place is quite spacious, set up in front of the restaurant owner's house, customers eat on the terrace or living room. Rice fields on the left and right, so the breeze is cool with a countryside atmosphere. Feels like eating at grandma's house hahaha. There is a faucet with liquid soap next to it for washing hands. You can pay using QRIS. Parking is in the front yard, quite spacious for motorbikes, if for cars it seems it can only fit 1-2 (but can also park in front of the fence). There is no parking attendant. Overall a unique food, quite good for those looking for a variation of Indonesian specialty food. The taste is good, the price is a bit more expensive than a warteg. Still worth for the novelty.
View on GoogleDelicious. Honestly, this is only my 2nd time eating tauto. The first was in Dieng, this is the second. Here the type of broth is quite bold, the tauco is noticeable but refreshing. If you add lots of chili paste, hmm it kicks. The portion of bones is great, still plenty of meat on it 👌🏼 The owner is also friendly.
