Love it! Great dine in place for Japanese cuisine. We visited the place on 26/Dec at noon for a light lunch. The staff is friendly & speedy serving us. The place is clean & neat, staff cleared all culinary immediately after customers left the table. The menu of Udon & Tempura have many choices. I love the beverages such as the Lycee Ocha Tea! and you can top up free flow! Overall, it was an awesome place to eat. I love the workers as they gave a great impression, well done

Very disappointing experience, especially as a regular Marugame Udon customer. My child regularly orders the Tori Paitan Udon at the The Park Mall Solo branch, so we are quite familiar with how this dish is supposed to taste. During a trip to Jogja, we decided to visit the Pakuwon Mall Yogyakarta branch and ordered the exact same menu. Unfortunately, the difference was immediately noticeable. The broth was bland, thin, and lacked the rich, savory flavor that we normally associate with Tori Paitan Udon. It simply did not taste right to us. I raised the issue with the staff, and they replaced the dish. Unfortunately, the replacement tasted almost exactly the same. When I brought up the issue again, the response was essentially that the dish was already prepared according to SOP. My wife ordered the Tori Tantan Udon, and her experience was no better. The broth was noticeably watery and tasted very different from what we have had at other Marugame Udon branches. The most unpleasant part of this experience came later that night. As I am writing this review at around 3 AM, my wife has just vomited the contents of her Tori Tantan Udon at our hotel after experiencing severe stomach discomfort. I cannot say for certain that the food was the cause, but the timing is certainly concerning and made an already disappointing experience even worse. What frustrates me most is that we gave the restaurant a chance to fix the problem by accepting the replacement, but the second bowl was no better. Being told that everything was “according to SOP” does not change the fact that, from a customer’s perspective, the food we received was significantly below the standard we have experienced at other branches. We have always enjoyed Marugame Udon, which is why this experience was particularly disappointing. Based on this visit, I would personally avoid the Pakuwon Mall Yogyakarta branch and choose another location instead. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and checks the consistency and quality of the broth being served at this branch. Following an SOP should not be the end of the conversation when a customer is clearly reporting that the actual product does not meet their expectations.

Well done to Marugame, or Marukame as it is called im some countries for their consistent quality and flavour across the entire continent! The niku udon was fabulous with thick chewy udon and savoury beef broth. The only flaw was that the broth was not served piping hot. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal here despite the poor air-conditioning in this mall. (Not Marugame's fault) Definitely the place to splurge and slurp!

The best udon until now. They have variants that’s unique to Japanese versions like beef carbonara udon which is very delicious
