I didn’t have any expectation cause I went here kinda impulsively, so I was pleasantly surprised that every single thing that I ordered tasted SOOOO GOOODDDD and most of them are affordable as well! I came for dinner and most tables were full but the services were top notch and the waiting time was not that long. I will absolutely come back and try another menu! 😆

Mie Sapi Jaya is a cozy restaurant. Although the place is quite small, the atmosphere is still comfortable. The restaurant also has air conditioning, even though the air does not spread evenly throughout the room. ‎One unique thing about this restaurant is the wall decoration, which is filled with vintage Chinese movie posters. The sink area is combined with the toilet area, which may feel less comfortable for me. ‎For the food, I ordered the original Mie Sapi Jaya. At first, the noodles were clumped together and tasted a bit plain. However, after adding some broth, Bangkok sauce, and sweet soy sauce, the dish became delicious. ‎One of the best things about this restaurant is the service. The staff are fast, friendly, and attentive. When they saw us taking pictures, they even offered to help take photos for us. Overall, I highly recommend this place for students who want to enjoy lunch together after class.

This restaurant is a cozy place located in a convenient area. It offers a variety of noodles, light snacks such as dimsum, and different kinds of drinks in a unique atmosphere. The place is clean and has an industrial-style interior, decorated with printed writings and images inspired by Chinese culture. The service was friendly and the overall atmosphere was quite comfortable. I tried the sweet beef noodle variant. The sweetness was quite strong, but in my opinion it lacked umami flavor. However, the minced beef was well-seasoned and tasty. I also ordered an iced chocolate drink, which was delicious and refreshing. The strengths of this place are its cleanliness, unique interior design, and friendly service. However, the air conditioner was not very cold, and the space felt a bit small, especially when it gets crowded. The atmosphere feels comfortable, but not really relaxing. Overall, this is a good place for people who enjoy noodles and an interesting restaurant interior. It is suitable for friends, students, or anyone who wants a comfortable place to eat and hang out.

Mie Sapi Jaya UNY is a restaurant that serves noodles as the main menu with a wide variety of choices. It is located in a strategic place near the campus, exactly in front of the Faculty of Engineering in Karang Gayam, Caturtunggal. Because of this location, the restaurant is often visited, especially by university students. This restaurant is minimalist, aesthetic, and clean. It also shows a Chinese-style atmosphere as its uniqueness. This is shown through lantern decorations at the exterior and retro-style Chinese posters covering the walls. The restaurant provides two seating areas, indoor with air conditioning and outdoor with a street view. The restaurant offers excellent service, clean cutlery, and a relatively short waiting time, depending on how crowded it is. The prices are quite affordable for university students. I ordered a complete beef curry noodle soup with fish balls and a boiled egg, priced at Rp24,000. Customers can also refill broth and sauces for free. I have visited this place four times, and the taste has been consistently delicious. However, there are a few drawbacks. The place is quite small and can get crowded, especially during break time. Sometimes, customers may need to wait, especially if they come with many people. In addition, some menu items were already sold out not long after opening. At one point, a menu item was marked unavailable, but after confirming, it turned out to still be available. Therefore, the staff should double-check menu availability before informing customers. Overall, it is a nice restaurant that suits everyone. It is highly recommended for those who are bored with the usual noodle dishes. Moreover, the restaurant is photogenic. Besides eating, customers can also take aesthetic photos for social media.

I visited this place a few days ago with 6 of my friends after class, so there were 7 of us in total. The restaurant was quite crowded at the time and the tables were not enough at first, so we had to combine a few tables together. Thankfully it was still comfortable enough and did not really disturb our dining experience, here I ordered the curry noodles, and overall the taste was good. The broth was savory and comforting, and the portion was also satisfying. But personally I expected the curry noodles to be a bit spicier, even after adding sambal the spice level still felt quite mild for me. The prices are affordable for students, the service was fairly quick, and the atmosphere is nice for eating with friends after class. Overall, it is a good place to eat near campus, especially for students looking for a casual and affordable meal.
