We bought one portion of "Katsu chicken lava cheese with mashed potato" and two sets of "Gyukatsu mantappu". Personally, I believe that the atmosphere supports this place to be a great place to eat out with friends and family because of how comfortable it is. However, I found the taste of the food to be rather lukewarm. This is mainly because I couldn't taste any rich flavour from the food. Still, I do believe that this restaurant is a decent stop for food.

Kimukatsu Ambarrukmo Plaza serves delicious variations of katsu. They occassionally give promotions. The chicken katsu was great and cooked thoroughly while the gyukatsu requires more cooking time. The miso soup was also refreshing and the cabbage salad was crispy and fresh. The staffs are also friendly and helpful. Very recommended.

I was truly impressed with my visit to Kimukatsu Ambarrukmo Plaza. Their signature layered katsu was incredibly flavorful, crispy on the outside and perfectly tender inside. I also loved the juicy beef slices that you grill over the small tabletop stove before eating, it added a fun and interactive touch to the meal, and the taste was amazing. The service was friendly and efficient, and the cozy ambiance made the whole dining experience even better. Overall, a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Japanese style katsu and grilled beef in Yogyakarta. Highly recommended!

My honest rating for Kimukatsu is excellent, from the friendly and informative service, the clean and comfortable place, to the delicious menu options. The only downside is that the location is quite difficult to reach. I got lost earlier, but I finally found it.

Loved the service! The staff were friendly. They explain the menu really well and clearly share today’s promos. The food didn’t take long to arrive either.
