Now I understand why this place is always crowded. It’s cheap and tasty, especially for students. You can also refill the rice as much as you want, which is definitely good news for hungry students. For me, the taste is quite okay—not the best hotplate in town, but still acceptable. I ordered the seafood. Honestly, the squid texture was a bit rubbery and took some time to chew. However, I really liked the shrimp; I think they fried it first because even the shell tasted good. As for the sauce, I chose Padang sauce, but it was a bit too sweet for my personal preference. Regarding parking, since the place is located near the river, there’s no proper area for car parking. I’d suggest coming by motorcycle instead. The place itself is quite small, but still comfortable enough to enjoy the food. Overall, 4/5 for me.
View on GoogleThis place was a really great place to get good food that wasn't too pricey, but also not too cheap. This restaurant served mainly hot plate stuff, fu yung hai, sapo tofu, cap cay, and some other foods. THE TASTE ------------- I have tried hot plate chicken, seafood, fu yung hai, cap cay, and water spinach (kangkung). All of those foods tasted amazing, especially the vegetables (cap cay, veggies fu yung hai, and water spinach). They tasted rich, and they were hot a lot of the time, which was great for me. The non vegletables were also amazing, the chicken hot plate and seafood were rich in flavor. Tea there was good also. Overall 9,3/10 THE PRICE -------------- The price was kinda cheap. Not too cheap but it's worth it in my opinion. I went there a couple of months ago, chicken hotpot were somewhere around 25k+, original cap cay was around 18k, fu yung hai was also around the same ballpark as fu yung hai. You get UNLIMITED rice, so it's not as expensive as you would think. You can get a JUMBO TEA for 5k and you get A LOT of tea, I'd say you get like around 800 to 900 mL (or more, can't tell precisely) of tea for 5k. The drink was good for cheap, which is a big plus. Overall 8,3/10 THE AMBIANCE --------------- The ambiance of the place wasn't anything special. There were 2 additional points to be added for. First and foremost, the food was served PIPING HOT, like, really really hot. It's a plus point to the "theme" of the restaurant, albeit you can't practically eat the food immediately after it's served, but it's aestethically pleasing. Second, there were some cats that were so cute and you can pet them. Overall 8,1/10
View on GoogleThe taste equals to the price. Worth to buy meals with 'take as you wish' rice portion. Good for students or young adults who love big portion of carbs.
View on GoogleJust around 20k rupiah for a hotplate with various menus (seafood, chicken, beef & veggie)
View on GoogleVery simple restaurant. But service was super fast and food was nice. Took beef black pepper sauce. And was very happy with the food
