Museum UGM offers a well-curated glimpse into the university’s origins and its role in shaping national development. The exhibits are clear, structured, and surprisingly engaging, especially if you’re interested in how academia connects to real-world impact. One highlight that stood out was the Antarctic stone, which adds an unexpected scientific dimension and makes the visit even more memorable. A solid place to gain both historical insight and a broader perspective on knowledge.

I never expect that Museum UGM would be so so interesting. Especially with the current ongoing exhibition from various faculties! The place holds so much history about how UGM was built and many more. As an UGM student, you’ll want to visit this small nook!

An educational museum with good and relevant artifacts. Being in the university complex you may got the feeling being an academic person eager to explore

It's a pretty cool place to visit. Mostly because there's a bedroom at the corner where Obama used to sleep in his childhood days at Yogyakarta. There are some pretty cool inventions there, the timeline of UGM's commemoration, important figures, etc. If you're lucky enough, there could be events held there, but the timing is rare compared to other places around UGM.

Nobody even bother to go there. In my opinion, it's more like an interactive advertising rather than a museum. Most of factoids and collections are framed as the way UGM wanted you to know.
