Had lunch with my wife at this busy outlet of the popular Bale Bebakaran food chain. We enjoyed rice, nila curry, fried chicken package (rice, fried tofu & tempe, fried chicken, chilli sauce, fresh vegetables), hot sweet orange, iced young coconut, ... perfect. We also took away a honey grilled guramy. A spacious joglo dining building with high chairs and mats. Good free WiFi. Friendly and helpful service. Clean restrooms (with squat and Western style toilets) and musholla. Parking spaces for motorbikes and cars. Minus: no ready-to-eat snacks and crackers.

The grilled gourami fish was definitely terbaek!! At first, I was a bit skeptical and worried it might be disappointing, but it turned out great. The portion was actually quite generous and really suitable for 2–3 people, just like what they claimed on the menu. I was planning to order the large size, but since it was my first time, I went with the smaller one.. and luckily, it was LAGOM! The sambal was also a winner. It had a nice balance, not too spicy but still very flavorful and satisfying. The place itself is quite spacious, suitable for dining with family or friends. Since it’s an open-air setup, it can feel a bit warm, but they provide fans in every corner which helps. One small note for the management, the fan covers could be cleaned more regularly as there seems to be some dust buildup. Parking is a bit limited, especially for cars, since the restaurant is located slightly inside a small street. Overall, it’s definitely worth visiting if you’re looking for grilled dishes. Plus, the service is friendly, which makes the experience even better.

So far the foods are delicious and so yummy. The staffs are quite humble and have good welcome when we arrived at here. Will visit this place again on the next jogja teip. Thanks Bale Babakan!

Seafood spots located near the university so there are a lot of students and it's very crowded. The food tastes okay, but it's very cheap! Considering the target market is students. Quite cozy and the food selection is wide. But everything runs out so quickly, so it's better to eat here before 9.

Maybe due to the breaking of the fast moment, we needed to make a reservation (pay a down payment). The food itself is delicious, but the parking area is limited.
