The place is relatively easy to reach, but parking space for cars is limited. The dining area is mostly semi-outdoor, which can feel quite hot during the day, when it gets crowded, it may be difficult to find a comfortable table. I have visited several times, but my most recent experience was less satisfactory. I arrived around 8:20 pm, and the cashier did not allow dine-in as they said it was already close to the order cut-off time, even though takeaway was still available from 8:30 pm. This felt disappointing, especially since I came with family from out of town. In addition, the Tetelan menu was already unavailable when I arrived, so the remaining options were quite limited.

The food was not as spicy as it was advertised in the menu. Bakso cakar naga could use alot more spicy sauce. It has a bit of sourness from possibly tomato sauce which takes away the spice level down a notch. For bakso iga bakar they use the same sause as bakso cakar naga, it was however grilled beautifully. Since it was ‘bakar’ there is hint of smokiness from the char caused by the charcoal. The soup was okay, no need to add more seasoning, it was perfect with the bakso. And lastly for the drinks, it was okay but unfortunately we found an ant in our es teler. Overall, we love bakso pa’jero though. It was still a pleasant dining experience with minor hiccups. Would still come back to try other menu.

We decided to try this place since it went viral all the way to Malaysia. We’ve tried many bakso spots before, and honestly, the bakso here was just average. The bakso bakar was okay, but overall we felt quite disappointed considering all the hype. My Jogja husband also shared the same point of view. Even for him, the bakso was underwhelming. We also noticed that customers are given free ice cream in exchange for a 5-star rating, which makes us question how genuine the reviews truly are. There is a kids’ play area, which is a nice idea, but we were quite disappointed to see stagnant water on the floor which is very unsafe for children to play around. That really affected our overall impression as parents. In the end, it was interesting to try a viral spot, but it’s not something we would go out of our way for again.

My impression of eating at Bakso Pajero, the service is less responsive, the cleanliness is not maintained, the order for fruit ice was given without a duck spoon as standard. When I ordered grilled meatballs, it turned out that the meatballs were not grilled, only smeared with grilled seasoning. The grilled meatball serving plate was dirty. I saw it myself how the new kid cleaned it because he was wearing a white uniform typical of a trainee. Please improve the SOP. Employees eat and drink in the work area, it is not nice to see customers. It looks unprofessional.

When ordering make sure to find a table first, then you submit your order via filling in an order sheet. This can be a little confusing at first. The Bakso itself is good and I liked the broth, though it is more of a snack than a main meal.
