As a traditional spice herb, herbal medicine from generation to generation has been believed by the Indonesian people as a potion for health. The term “jamu” comes from the ancient Javanese language, namely “jampi” which means mantra/prayer, and “oesodo” which means health.

Traditional drinks served in modern way. It is also established at Universitas Gadjah Mada's School of Pharmacy complex. The ambient is cool, the service is very satisfactory. It is suitable for small meetings, chit-chats, or just moments when we would like to be good to ourselves.

Acaraki GAMA is an artisan jamu store located inside Faculty of Pharmacy, UGM, yet accessible for public. As someone who originally doesn't really like jamu, I can say that I enjoy Acaraki GAMA's jamu selections! I tried their Ruby Sparkling and Golden Sparkling. Although you can taste the spices, it isn't too strong. I really recommend their drinks to introduce jamu to people who don't usually fancy jamu!
