the atmosphere of this place, surrounded by mt. merapi, is just beautiful. the food and drinks are not bad, but the real highlight is the environment. the cool mountain air paired with hot fried bananas and warm drinks hits on a different level. it feels simple yet special at the same time. overall, a pretty good experience.

A nice spot to take a break from the heat and the busy streets around Jogja. It felt like a simple, refreshing pause, and I’d definitely come back when I want somewhere calmer to stop for coffee.

Kopi Merapi is worth visiting for the beautiful view of Mount Merapi and its relaxing atmosphere. The prices are also very affordable. The coffee itself was quite good, although the milk tasted more like sweetened condensed milk, making it sweeter than expected. Unfortunately, the fried snacks were already cold when served, and the hot drinks were only slightly warm. It would be much better if everything were served fresh and hotter. Still, considering the low prices and amazing scenery, this place offers good value for money and is worth visiting.

I’ve been to this place many times and I’m always satisfied with my visits, except when the weather is cloudy, as it blocks the full view of Mount Merapi. The scenery behind the place is lush, beautiful, and soothing to the eyes. You can see Mount Merapi clearly from here, and even during an eruption, the view is quite striking. The food is also pretty good, though the prices are a bit on the higher side. My tip for anyone planning to visit: come as early as possible, even before the food stall opens, so you can grab one of the best seats with the perfect view of Mount Merapi.
