It's a small but interesting museum. Look at how the volcano eruption killed the cows and raised temperatures here hot enough to melt glass.

Just a stop over for those taking jeep trip. A number of leftover stuffs left by the people that used to stay there. It's shown the power of destruction of Mt merapi. Not much information ,they should have put up more information displays.

This place is like a monument for what happened in 2010, everything was nice but it's may better if they put on signs filled with information on what this place used to be and not just the information for the stuff (that also lacking). It seems like this place is designed for those who take the lava tour instead of those who want things "alaccarte" As all of the guide I see is from those jeeps. The museum is so crowded because we visit it during peak season yet few people really like to touch the collection even though it has been clearly stated in multiple places of the building that you do not allowed to touch those. Overall it's a good experience

The museum itself offer you hindsight on the after math of disaster. Their belonging instantly became relics. The final form of various physics and chemical reaction can be seen. There is no guide of their reaction to guide beginner's. For the niche interest. There is extra activity with the jeep tour.

This place will remind you that your life and all the materials that you reach can gone easily.
