Autenthic Tahu Kupat from Blabag Magelang Area. They don't have any other branches, although they've been open since 1957. The place is the same as 30 years ago, but now is so much cleaner. They closed one day before lebaran until the second day of lebaran. Recommended.

When it comes to legendary eateries, Kupat Tahu Pak Budi stands as an enduring icon since its establishment in 1957. Amidst the evolving culinary scene in Jogjakarta and amidst growing competition, the distinct flavors of its seasoning have remained intact over the years. This eatery also holds sentimental value for me, as it's a cherished part of my dad's legacy. He's the one who first introduced me to this Kupat Tahu haven, nestled at the SGM 4-way intersection. A visit here isn't complete without indulging in their signature Kupat Tahu, and be sure to order the delightful Es Dawet to complement your meal. If you're arriving by car, keep in mind that parking might pose a challenge due to its location at the bustling intersection. Kupat Tahu Pak Budi is a testament to time-tested flavors that continue to captivate taste buds and honor culinary heritage, making it a must-visit destination.

Javanese traditional cuisine that combined "ketupat" (boiled rice wrapped in woven coconut leaves), fried tofu, sweet fried tempe, bean sprouts, shredded cabbage in sweet and spicy sauce (mixed soya sauce, garlic, chilli and vinegar). Unique taste from kaffir lime leaves makes your appetite authentic Javanese taste. 👌👌👌

Really good food and drink and affordable price, if i remember correctly it consists of fried tofu (really soft), rice cake (really soft), short bean sprout, chopped cabbage, chopped parsley, friend shallots, tempe bacem, kerupuk, and finally the sauce is sweet soy liquid with chilly and another seasoning. The taste is great, but texture wise-it is not. It is all really soft, except bean sprout , cabbage and kerupuk. I hope the rice cake can be more delicate with a bit of a bite on it or maybe adding a vegetable fritter (bakwan or something) to make the texture better. It's a really good job protecting the tradition, i saw many elders coming and enjoying the food, and that was maybe the sign of tradition protected.
