Stopped here to have Gado Gado because the place around the corner with higher reviews was closed. Nice experience ordering and the food came quickly. Unlike most other places that put the peanut sauce on the veggies, this place puts the sauce in a big dish in the middle of the plate. Once removed, you can see the portion size is on the smaller size. Especially for the price point of 60.000 for the one dish. My fault for not reading the under print on the menu, but the place also charges an extra 10% restaurant tax making this the most expensive one dish meal I had in all of Indonesia. I understand that this is a big tourist area proven by mainly westerners walking the street and eating at the restaurants. But no where else along the street did I find such a price increase at other establishments I visited. Even looking at previous menu prices for this place has shown a significant price increase on this one item over the past months. The peanut sauce was good but the greens and veg were limp, lifeless and without flavour. The food being okay does not warrant the high price for the meal.
View on GoogleOrdered the ayam panggang, served with rice, mixed vegetables, and sambal. The chicken was delicious—beautifully marinated, smoky, and cooked perfectly. The portion was generous, and the flavours all came together really well. Service was quick and the staff were friendly and attentive. A really enjoyable meal and definitely worth trying if you’re looking for a tasty local dish! Total was 103k with a small beer.
View on GoogleGood option for traditional Indonesian dishes. Service was friendly and quick. I came during lunch and there was a lot of seating available.
View on GoogleGood for a quick grab or longer dinner. Friendly staff, recommended their vegetarian dish. The beef was good too. Would return.
View on GoogleWe were greeted very warmly and experienced a cheerful welcome, and our order was taken in an extremely understanding and polite manner. However, we ran into an issue because we stayed for too long, and they snapped at us. We were confronted with an attitude of 'if you're going to sit for this long, pay your bill first,' which really upset us. Because of this, we do not recommend this place to anyone.
