Remains of old sultan water palace. Very inspiring place with long history
View on GoogleThe water palace is somewhat different from the pools; most of what you see is pools. Foreigners pay 2.5萬 per person, and once inside you can hire a guide for 10萬 per tour (there may also be other quoted prices). Having a guide is recommended; without someone explaining, it's hard to make much out of it. Our guide was a bit perfunctory and didn't introduce some sights that others had photographed, so we had to keep asking questions ourselves. But we still felt it was quite worthwhile.
View on GoogleIf you look at google street, what this point refers to isn't what people have reviewed. This location is at the far southern end inside Tamansari, entered via the left route after we leave the pool/tirta on the initial route. After that we go up and turn left, if going right toward this tunnel take the right and keep going straight along the footpath. You will find something like the google maps street point.
View on GoogleI've been to Gapura Panggung - Portão dos Fundos do Castelo de Água Djocdja (Taman Sari Yogyakarta) three times, quite far from Jalan Malioboro at a distance of two and a half kilometers, the tourist attraction is very unique, Taman Kreaton is the royal bathing place, Gedhong Gapura Hageng Istana Air Taman Sari has very beautiful carvings, Sumur Gumuling is very unique with five staircases, Pulo Kenanga and many more. The entrance ticket is only five thousand rupiah per person (in 2014), it's open from morning until afternoon, the parking area is quite spacious and souvenir photos of Gapura Panggung - Portão dos Fundos do Castelo de Água Djocdja from 2014.
View on GoogleOnce a beautiful place, but now in a very unsightly state. The walls inside the palace are covered in pen, marker, and graffiti. There is no lighting. Only natural light, and windows are far from everywhere. The toilet is in an incredibly bad state. I liked the pools themselves. Everything badly needs care. Such a wonderful place, but without a good facilities manager. There aren't that many people, but it isn't empty either. No need to buy tickets in advance. Everything is available on site. The price is reasonable. Open until 15:00.
