Came here for eating Gudeg and still loving it. The taste was still pretty much the same as it had been previously when I had visited Jogja last time. The krecek was rich in flavour and not overly sweet. The hard-boiled egg was quite on point, tho it was a bit too hard-boiled, and the chicken was nice. The resto vibe was classic Javanese, yet since it was not that crowded, it felt a bit eerily too quiet.

One of the many gudeg places on the street, this was looked good and it was too. Gudeg was the right about of juicy and tasty. Moderate portion size.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, with both floor seating and tables, and the staff are extremely polite and kind. I tried the famous Indonesian dish Gudeg here ,it was sweeter than I’m used to, so not exactly my favorite taste, but it was still interesting to try and definitely part of the local experience.

I was peacefully enjoying my meal until I noticed a family of rats running along the roof, moving in and out of the indoor area, playing and chasing each other. At one point, I was even scared they might fall to the ground inside the restaurant. After seeing that, I honestly don’t know if anyone will still focus on the rest of this review. The chicken was a bit hard, and the rest of the food tasted just okay. But the real issue here is definitely the hygiene. I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and improves its cleanliness.

Too many Gudeg Yu Djum existed in Yogya... So we randomly pick up one esp at Wijilan with soo many other brands around the corner. Not the best taste of gudeg... But this is my very personal view - too sweet for me. So no worries.... If u like sweet cuisine, u can pick up this one.
