Near Keraton, this is the home of the younger brother of the ruling sultan, and incredibly, it's open to the public. Some of the dishes served in the palace are only available here and just a bit on the pricy side, but the experience makes it totally worth it as you're also effectively visiting a museum. It's a beautiful setting perfect for special occasions. I'm glad I "discovered" it by accident, as it's not well-advertised or known.

It's a small restaurant with very limited on street parking spaces. Specialized in authentic Yogyakarta Palace traditional menu. Most of the food are taste so delicious with very good presentation. Mostly the restaurant is quiet because of very limited customers. The services is good but take a bit longer than most restaurant, in my opinion. The price is so expensive but worth it for such a good food, for such a special occasion

Went to had lunch hoping their meals will be as great as the Bale Raos just to see it's not (sorry to say). But again, it was a good experience for me.

So lucky for me to know about gastronomic tourism. This place shown to me how to manage the culture and culinary in one package. Thanks for Jogja tourism festivals for this chance. The gadri resto have a lot of stories about Jogja, especially the means of keraton's culinary. For students like me, maybe the food prices is more expensive than daily food in around university. But, gadri resto explained that if you want to know and learn about gastronomic tourism, this place could be one of important parts. Thanks for Mrs. Joyo

Terrific food, terrific service, great environment. Having tried the restaurant linked to the palace, I thought this was tastier, with better ventilation and no flies! Gentle gamelan music in the air, birdsong from burung kuku and other songbirds and the gentle December breeze made it really pleasant. I enjoyed my orange juice, with fresh lime accents! It was so good I had to go for seconds and then the nasi kuning was super tasty with impeccably made side dishes. Each one bursting with flavor and a good complement for the meal. Loved it! We also got their version of coconut rice, and a super yummy braised beef short rib with fried rice! Not to mention to super fresh and tasty tahu telur. Mmm
