⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cozy hidden gem with great value! Selarasa is a true hidden gem tucked away inside an alley. It has a lovely, homey, and quiet environment that makes it perfect for a relaxed lunch. It was somewhat empty when I arrived, but people steadily trickled in while I was eating. 🚗 Parking Tip: Motorcycles can park right beside the restaurant, but if you're coming by car, you will definitely need to park outside the alley. I ordered the Sahari (IDR 32,000), which is Hainan chicken served over rice with a scrambled egg and salted egg sauce. The Good: It tastes great and is deeply comforting. For the price, it’s an absolute steal. The Critique: The chicken stock was a little bit bland, and it would honestly be elevated to the next level if they used flavorful Hainan rice instead of regular white rice. Overall, a lovely spot worth seeking out!
View on Google⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A truly wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors and prepared with great care. Every dish we tried was enjoyable and left a lasting impression. The atmosphere was peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful. What makes this place especially unique is its traditional local architecture, which gives the restaurant a special charm and offers visitors a glimpse into the local culture and heritage. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely appreciated as guests. I would highly recommend Selarasa, especially to foreigners visiting Yogyakarta who want to experience authentic Indonesian cuisine and culture in a beautiful setting. And perhaps the biggest surprise of all: the prices are incredibly affordable. The value for money is outstanding. If Google allowed six stars, I would gladly give them. This place truly deserves more than the maximum rating. I will definitely return on my next visit to Yogyakarta. Highly recommended!
View on GoogleGreat little family run Indonesian fusion restaurant. The server was very friendly and explained what the dishes were so we could choose which ones to have, same with the drinks. They only have 4 dishes to choose from but they make these very well. We had the Sahari and the Ayam Tunisahlua which were both very tasty and had hints of spice too. We would recommend this to anyone coming to yogya
View on GoogleIt's my 2nd visit to Selarasa and everything is superb. A definitely must to come by if you have the chance when visiting Yogyakarta. Ordered 2 Sahari and 1 Ayam Sambal Dadak (?), 2 Ice Tea with grand total of less than 150k IDR. They only have 4 dishes on the menu and I already tried all of them. Only 1 word: Exceptional. All of the dishes are unique yet comforting. Bold yet subtle at the same time. Not to mention their server's politeness and friendliness. Overall will definitely my go to place everytime I visit Yogyakarta.
