We really enjoyed the museum, it is definitely worth visiting. The museum was not somewhere we planned to visit, but on passing we saw tanks and military guns in the car park and decided to investigate. On entering the car park there is a small room where you provide your details and register, prior to the tour. A first lieutenant called Ivan Harish then guided us around the museum providing lots of information and insight to the displays and conflicts, as well the great work the army had done assisting after natural disasters. There is a magnificent display of different types of guns from all parts of the World, and Ivan was very informative about the types, age and origin of the guns. At the end of our tour we entered a Japanese bunker, accessible by a staircase one end and a ladder the other. We really enjoyed our visit and it gave us an insight of Indonesia's history. Thank you for your time and kindness.
View on GoogleI and my community called "Jogja Museum Lover" arranged a program visiting museums. At that moment, we visited two museums that both are close. So we walked together from the first to the second museum. This place is the first museum we visited. It's really good museum. they has good guide and facilities. We are not only upgraded our knowledge about history but also we could learn everything from the past. They have used high technology as well so we were really enjoying and fun. Recommended!
View on GoogleThe museum houses a vast collection of items related to the Indonesian Army, including defense equipment, uniforms, military operations, lists of generals, and more. The place is comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. Unfortunately, much of the information is incomplete, weapons are misnamed, and there's no tour guide. Luckily, I understand defense equipment, So I can be my own tour guide. Admission is free; just sign the guest book and pay a cleaning fee.
View on GoogleActually the museum is very nice, there are a lot of information and also weapon to show in their display...but the place will be better if they provide a good tour guide and they clean their collection...hidden gem will be a Japanese bunker behind the building, but there is shame no tour guide to accompany us enter the bunker
View on GoogleThis is one of great museum to learn about Military in Indonesia. The museum's parking lot is huge like the building. In front of the building you can take a picture with a tank. The location is strategic (not too close to city center) and accessible by public transportation.
