The place is really authentic, I really love all the decorations, paintings, statues, and the vintage car. We were waiting for several minutes because it was fully booked. The food was amazing and has Indonesian authentic taste, presentation was great. The server, Mega ( I hope I wasn’t wrong writing her name) was very friendly and helpful, she explained all the menu, she has full knowledge of the menu. The price was surprisingly cheap. Thank you The House of Raminten for the experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
View on GoogleHad dinner here with my family and I can see why this place is always packed. The House of Raminten really stands out for its unique atmosphere and presentation. Even though the food itself wasn’t exactly to my personal taste, I still enjoyed the overall experience. The way the dishes are presented is fun and memorable, the portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. Service was another highlight. The place was very crowded (and I believe there’s usually a waiting list), but the staff handled everything efficiently. Our food came out quicker than expected, which was impressive considering how busy it was. One small note the space can feel a bit tight, especially during peak hours, so don’t expect a lot of personal space. Overall, this is more than just about the food it’s about the whole experience. Despite the taste not fully matching my preference, I’d still give it 5 stars for the atmosphere, value, and smooth service. Definitely worth trying at least once when in Yogyakarta.
View on GoogleNo frills, great food and great service at excellent prices. Many of the tables are on the floor seats. You specify at the receptionist if you wish a table with seats but the wait will be longer if you aren't comfortable sitting on the floor. Extensive drink menu as well as many dishes to choose from.
View on GoogleFood was good and fairly priced ! Atmosphere really funky and Positive is we did see a lot of Indonesian The wait is significant though - 45 mins - 1hr for 2 people and it was a weekday. The food also takes about 20-30 mins to come out. We enjoyed it - though the fried noodles were too salty It’s cash only also so do come prepared (we did not so went withdraw at a nearby bank ATM)
View on GoogleVisited this 2-story spot! Just a heads-up: there are only two regular tables downstairs. The rest is lesehan style, so you'll be sitting on the floor and taking your shoes off. For drinks and mains, definitely try the Wedang Sendang Ayu, Jamu Kunir Asem, and Sop Segoro Amarto—they were great! Personally, I wasn't a fan of the chicken soup, Gurame pecak, or Bebek sambel ijo. Service was top-notch, though!
