Looking for a place to nangkring that’s actually cozy? Iki wis bener pol. Seating-nya melimpah, so no need to worry about desek-desekan with strangers. The menu is a total "one-trick pony," but in a good way: literally just Bubur Ayam. Actually, they have bubur ketan hitam too, tapi lha kok served cold by SOP. For those of us sing ora doyan cold porridge, it’s an absolute auto-skip. Mending fokus neng bubur ayame wae. Bubur nya rasanya enak. Ngga terlalu asin terus boleh isi sendiri topping nya pokok e sesuai selera and as you wish. Harga juga bersahabat, only IDR 10k. Tapi ya, the real star of the show isn't even the food, it’s the Kucing Oren. This anabul is the literal "Manager on Duty." He is way more charming and outgoing than the staff (and the staff are actually quite nice, lho). This cat is 100% picture-able and professional; he visits every table to make sure everyone is happy and grants you the privilege of petting him. Truly the best brand ambassador sing tau tak temoni. Pokokmen restoran seng ada kucing Oren nya auto 5 stars.

I’m not usually a porridge person, but my first time trying Bubur Hayam Kotabaru completely changed my mind. I instantly loved it and will definitely be coming back! They don’t just serve chicken porridge they also have desserts like sweet sticky rice porridge. The portions are generous and really satisfying. My favorite part was that they provide plenty of chopped green onions, which I absolutely loved. On top of that, the prices are very affordable, making it a great spot for students.

A friend was craving porridge for brunch, so we ended up here. The place has indoor and semi-indoor seating, but it was packed when we arrived and we got a seat right near the entrance. It was unbearably hot since they only rely on ceiling fans. The prices are really cheap by Jakarta standards, but honestly, the porridge didn’t feel that special—I’ve had better elsewhere. We also ordered bubur ketan, but it was too bland for my taste. I usually prefer less sweet, but this one crossed the line into flavorless for me.

I tried the bubur ayam and ketan hitam with one scoop of vanilla ice cream. Both were nice, but I personally prefer the ketan hitam—it was more enjoyable for my taste. The place is compact with both indoor and outdoor seating. I prefer sitting outside because the indoor area feels quite hot since there’s no AC. A funny thing happened when I ordered teh tawar hangat, the taste reminded me of minyak telon, which was quite unexpected but made the visit memorable.

The food doesn’t have any problem. But they need to renew their bowls. And one thing for the other customers, please do check their condiments and don’t hesitate to ask them the fresh one.
