I’ve visited this place three times, and overall, the bakso here is really good. My first visit was amazing — the bakso was juicy, flavorful, and the tetelan was generous. I instantly fell in love with it. On my second visit, the bakso tasted a bit different and not as great as the first time. It was still okay, though the broth remained very delicious. For my third visit, the bakso was still tasty and the broth was consistently good, but the bakso flavor wasn’t as consistent as my first experience. Still, it’s a place I’d come back to because when it’s good, it’s really good.

This place is disappointing when it comes to the food. Their bakso and its various options are nothing compared to many other bakso places in Yogyakarta. The broth is very bland and lacks depth, as if it needs much more stock to bring out any real flavor. The bakso itself is also underwhelming, it tastes like cheap bakso with minimal seasoning and could definitely use more meat and stronger flavor. Despite this, the place is always crowded, most likely because it went viral on social media. Unfortunately, beyond the hype, there is really nothing here worth praising.

I went to Bakso Ambasador on Jalan Solo, Jogja. The place is simple and comfortable. We sat on a mat, which felt nice and traditional. I ate bakso with noodles. The portion was good and the meatballs were big. The taste was okay, not too special, but still fine. The iced tea was cold and fresh. It’s a good place to relax and eat with friends or family.

Just had it yesterday and it was delicious! So tasty and the portion was perfect. Plus, the service was super friendly. Definitely recommend it!
