Really cool local spot to try Indonesian or Javanese food. I got the Lumpia Lebung Ayam (Spring rolls with bamboo shoots and chicken), Bakso Jowo (Javanese Bakso) and Es Dawet. Everything tasted good.

A good place for culinary street food adventure (at a cleaner setting). I tried Lumpia rebung, Es Krim Rujak, and Siomay on separate occasions. The lumpia is great, however it was too greasy to be eating more than 1. The rebung(bamboo shoots) smells filled the store and reminds you of a typical indo-china southeast Asian countries. Es Krim Rujak felt a bit disoriented for my palate. The combination of spicy, tanginess, against the sweetness of the strawberry ice-cream felt off for me. I couldn't finished it. Siomay was no comment. The sauce is good but the Siomay was average I would say. Try to come during weekdays where it's least crowded.

Great place to have a decent bite that does not break the bank. The loempias are the main feature but other food equally good!

A very casual place to grab some Sate. They have both chicken and lamb, they were both okay, but the sauce wasn't thick and rice like it should be and it took a while to be served and the prices are a bit on the higher side for no apparent reason

Overall, Kasmaran Jogja stands out as a top choice for a casual treat if you're around Malioboro area, which is not far from Malioboro Mall or the center Malioboro itself. Highly recommended!
