The best quality and price for batik in city! Before choosing your farorite you have possibility to know more about this type of art and even try to make it! 😊👌🏻
View on GoogleSome taxi driver proposed to go to this place. When we were lost a protestant consultant helped us. Definitely the second one had nothing to do with this art gallery. it totally didn't feel like scam. We got an elaborate explanation how Batik art is created. We really loved some pieces, in particular one. When we didn't decide to buy, he dropped the price. We left without buying. He came after us and he said: "This is my last price, after this, I will let you go." We decided to buy as we really loved it and it wasn't expensive. However I understand they want to sell, it is there revenue... We are really happy with our purchase and we liked the gallery.
View on GoogleAt first I feared it was the typical scam I read about where you get lured into following someone to a professional and cheap Batik shop. I was very sceptical and didn't want to buy anything, but there were so many beautiful and extraordinary paintings for little money and the employees seemed to be trustworthy. Now I'm owner of a piece of Batik Art. I don't know if all they told us was true, but if I had bought a similar picture this size at home I would have paid much more for the same quality.
View on GoogleThere are some beatiful pieces of Batik, but like others said, was not sure how legit they are, some are clearly from students and definitely from much lesser quality. I was just looking to buy a present, but found it over priced and eventually one of the more shady and pushy "sales persons" took me outside and went down 50% with the price ("only now and don't tell anybody"), so then you know how real it all is:p For me it was a great bargain and besides in Europe people pay much more for Mass produced "art" to decorate their walls, so I think if you just look for a nice looking souvenir/present which at least is made by hand, it's not that bad. But definitely Bargain!
View on GoogleMr Heru sold me 3 pieces of batik paintings. We agreed on the price n the batiks on the wooden support frames. However, he removed all the supports despite my protests. Assured me that Mr Anton who is stationed in Singapore will redo the support frame for me without additional charge. He wrote Mr Anton's email on the paper bag. Also said he will email me the artists information for the batiks I bought. He did not email me. Now almost 3 months later, there is no reply to my emails to Mr Anton and Mr Heru.
