We did a batik workshop at the Batik Museum (we didn’t stay at the hotel) and we really enjoyed it! The workshop was fun, relaxing and we learned a lot about batik. The people working here are very kind and knowledgeable. Would 100% recommend going here on your trip to Yogyakarta, we wouldn’t have wanted to miss this!

Went to a Batik workshop solo yesterday; just turned up & then was taught what to do & the meaning behind the batik explained throughout. Felt really guided & was so so relaxing. Staff here are rly lovely deffo go here!!:)) So many options also!

I came here to shop for batik, not to stay as a guest. The batik fabrics are fixed price. I was helped by a man whose English was very good, but a little flirtatious. He repeatedly took photos of me, suggested I stay longer in Yogyakarta and I had to demand that he stop taking my photo. I concluded my purchases with a lady who spoke no English. He was creepy.

We were here on family trip to Jogja. The staff is friendly, helpfull, and patient with children. The place in general and the toilet is clean. So it is nice to be here, especially if you also join the batik workshop (make your own batik). However the place is aging and some renovation/ upgrading/ modernization will be nice. Good experience in general 👍🏼
