We passed the Gunung Kidul to reach this place from Yogyakarta. It took 3 hours to reach here. We toook a jeep by Budi to peak point. The jeep passing by houses, paddy fields, plantations, along the bumpy ride. At the boarding point, we got to climb onto the jeep for photos. Cost Rp 400k for a couple to go on this boardwalk by the side, for more photos with the cliffs in the background. The boardwalk feel unstable but safe. The costal views were amazing. At the end of the boardwalk is the boarding point of the gondola to cross onto Timang Island in the middle of the waves. The ticket covers two ways on the gondola and if you prefer to walk, it's a separate ticket to walk across the hanging bridge. But it was an adventure and interesting experience with guidance of Budi my guide. The island is a rocky cliff and mainly photo spots. Super hot and totally exposed under the sun here, bring your sunblock and caps.

It was definitely worth traveling from far away to visit this place. The road leading in was challenging, but the 4x4 ride made the journey exciting and enjoyable. The stunning seaside views were breathtaking, especially while enjoying a cup of tea and some fried bananas.

Had an amazing experience at Timang Beach! The beautiful coastline, stunning ocean views, and adventurous atmosphere made this trip unforgettable. The journey to the beach itself was already an experience. Definitely a must-visit when in Yogyakarta!

Took a jeep to the boarding point, passing by residences, rice fields, plantations, along the bumpy ride. At the boarding point, we got to climb onto the jeep for photos. Then paid Rp30k each to go on this boardwalk by the side, for more photos with the cliffs in the background. The boardwalk didn't feel very safe but the views were amazing. At the end of the boardwalk is the boarding point of the gondola to cross onto Timang Island in the middle of the waters. The ticket covers 2 ways on the gondola and if you prefer to walk, it's a separate ticket to walk across the hanging bridge. Am surprised at how manual the gondola was, essentially a pulley system operated by men on 2 sides with their calloused hands. But it was an interesting experience. Nothing much on the island, mainly photo spots. Super hot and totally exposed under the sun here, remember your sunscreen! In the day tourists come for photos, in the night, the staff harvest lobsters which are being sold at the restaurant at the entrance where our car was parked. We didn't get to try as we weren't hungry at that time and they only sold as set meals with a few courses. We also didn't bring enough cash for this, the sets were going for minimum of Rp680k.
