Nice beach, canoeing is very popular activity here. But so many people visiting, it makes less clean and crowded. Better come here during weekdays and not holiday season

Drini beach is just a small beach area with no waves. The water was really shallow when we were there and there's many stones and seaweed in the water that makes it not nice at all to walk or play in the water there as it is sharp and slippery. You can do canoeing there for Rp50.000 but the water was just to shallow even canoeing is not nice.

Drini Beach is a peaceful and scenic beach located in Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. Known for its clean white sand and calm waves, it’s a great place for swimming and relaxing by the sea. The beach is divided by a small coral island, which adds a unique charm to the landscape. Visitors can climb the island to enjoy panoramic views of the coastline and take beautiful photos. The atmosphere is calm and refreshing, perfect for those seeking a quiet getaway from the crowds. Facilities such as food stalls, gazebos, and parking are available, making your visit more comfortable. Drini Beach is a wonderful destination to enjoy natural beauty and spend quality time by the ocean.

I enjoyed the trip because the route was pleasant, passing through the mountains and ending at a beautiful beach.

One of the 17 beaches, it's a place I visited 6 or 7 years ago. Time flies, and it is now a lot more developed with many shops, restaurants, mostly for locals. Many buses deliver their cargo of local tourists. The beach is nice. Is it clean? Relatively. The area has been cordoned off, to allow kayaking and swimming. Past the flags, weaves are quite big, and there are strong under currents that can probably be dangerous. It will probably never become like Bali, but if the infrastructure is well taken care of, then it can be a very pleasant destination, at least for the day.
