Last week I visited Baskom in Playen, Gunungkidul, which is located right in front of Hotel Santika. In my opinion, the location is very easy to find because it’s on the main road. I think that the concept of the place is very interesting because there is a fish pond inside that divides the front and back areas. I personally believe the chicken noodle with meatballs is a menu you must try. From my point of view, it tastes delicious and the broth is savory. I’d say that the price is cheap for students, around Rp 12.000,00– Rp 16.000,00 per portion. It seems to me that the staff are polite and helpful, even when the place is full. I’m convinced that this place is suitable for family gatherings because it’s spacious. I think that they need a bigger parking area during holiday season. From my point of view, the place is clean and hygienic. Overall, in my opinion, Baskom is a good place to eat if you’re around Gunungkidul.

This is the largest meatball restaurant of the Baskom (Bakso Komplet) food chain at Logandeng, about 5 km from Wonosari, Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. A large building with Javanese "joglo" architecture and no walls, but there is a fish pond. Clean place, quick service, helpful staff. The boiled beef meatballs are tender and savoury, while the fried meatballs are rather hard but savoury. Beef soto soup and chicken noodle are also offered. There are around ten clean toilets, and a clean musholla (moslem prayer place). Two vast parking lots for motorbikes, cars and buses in front and in the back.

Fast food in the mean of you served very fast. The taste is standard, try the condiments in the table to mix with the meatballs.

Our driver stopped here on our way to Timang beach when we requested to give Bakso a try. It was pretty good!
