For new visitors who never try this type of Indonesia food. They charge base on HOW MANY KINDs of dishes you pick, not on weight or portions. Pay attention that u don have to take small portions only if you want to try. You can try a little bit before take it to your plate. The drinks are the most profitable items. :)

Semi outdoor restaurant serving traditional and authentic Javanese cuisine, with plenty of seating and tables, a large field and parking space, very ideal for families and large groups. I enjoy coming here to grab a simple dinner of Mangut Lele (Smoked Catfish) and the various vegetable dishes they have to offer, then having a coffee or tea with some warm and freshly fried Pisang Goreng. Service here is very quick and professional, the waiters, waitresses and cashiers are very attentive and responsive. Delicious food, great ambience, highly recommended!

For Jakartans, to go to Kampoeng Mataraman is like to escape from a harsh routine. The amazingly spacious place, with a little creek and the park dominated with green grass. I was amazed with the bright blue sky with white clouds since I can't remember when was the last time I witnessed such a simple scenery. The food is humble (typical of food cooked in your own kitchen), but really tasty. Pick anything and you won't pick wrong. Goes the same with the beverages selection.
