Great day to understand the history of chocolate itself and Monggo. Also the process within the factory. Then got the chance to create Mendiant experience, it was super fun! A must visit when you're in Jogja ps: people are genuinely nice

I had such a lovely time visiting Toko & Museum Cokelat Monggo! The place is clean and comfortable, making it really enjoyable to explore and learn more about the chocolate-making process. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they explained everything patiently. One of the best parts was that they offer chocolate testers 😭🤎 so you can try different flavors before deciding what to buy. And honestly… the chocolate is sooo good! Rich in flavor but still smooth, and not overly sweet. Perfect for souvenirs or just treating yourself ✨ Highly recommended if you’re visiting Jogja!

What started as a random holiday activity in Jogja unexpectedly became one of the best memories of my trip. I got to explore the museum, tour the factory, taste delicious chocolates with Mba Helga (who was incredibly kind and knowledgeable), and even make my own pralines with Mas Reza. His cheerful personality made the whole workshop so much fun! Came for the chocolate, left with sweet memories. 🍫✨ Highly recommended if you’re looking for something unique to do during your holiday in Jogja.

Stopped by here enroute to airport. A friend highly recommended the local Indo chocolates but had no time to visit the retail shops in Yogya. Straight to the gift shop and will kiv museum for next trip. No overwhelming chocolate smell, but bowls of samples for all their chocolate flavours were on display! And there are many flavours to choose from, not just differences in black or white or percentage of cacao in the chocs. At IND69000 per 80g block, i went a little crazy and indulged in 5 different varieties. There was even a rendang flavour with hints of star anise, cinnamon and ginger but i didnt have plans to use that for cooking. Needless to say there was also an amazing selection of pralines sold by weight; as well as various butter cookies dipped in chocolate. And if you plan to have a bite here, there’s food in the cafe and very good ice cream with a wide selection.

It was so much fun — this is such an interesting place to visit. It’s not just selling chocolate; they also offer tours here. We got to learn about the history of chocolate, see the chocolate-making process, try some chocolate samples, and even get creative making our own chocolate. It’s perfect for a family activity, and the chocolate is delicious too. So glad I got to visit this place!
