Nice place for any group size. I visited there with 2 big buses for company outing. The menu tastes original and legit.
View on GoogleThis is the first and last Gudeg that I had and will have. I was heard from acquiantance that Gudeg is traditional food in Yogjakarta area. Tha taste is sweet and i think some people would feel like no taste. I guess the reason is that they dont use salt not much. All ingrdiants are put in pot and boiled. So food is soft to eat. I was satisfyed with gudeg that i could have traditional food, but would not have it again.
View on GoogleThey claimed themselves as the first canned gudeg producer in Indonesia. You can find nice Javanese atmosphere in this place. Huge pictures of Bu Tjitro can be seen in their ground floor. Gudeg's original recipe is diversified into blondo gudeg (sweeter one), pedas (spicy), and rendang (beef chunks cooked in coconut milk stew). Gudeg kendil (gudeg in terracotta vase) can be stored for next 48 hours, while gudeg in besek (boxes made from dried coconut leaves) having shorter preservation time, just up to 6 hours. So the best option to bring gudeg as your trip's souvenir is canned gudeg, which is naturally preserved using traditional techniques.
