Never even looked at the reviews, walked in and as ALL OTHERS have said, great food at a great price. Very friendly owners. Had Nasi Goreng Special, asked for add'l sliced tomatoes and price was same (INR30k). Now I see pictures of other's food and I'll be back to try the menu.
View on GoogleLoved the view and the staff were so kind! Not a lot of people, only locals and everyone seems to enjoy this place. The food was served fast and you have water on the table. Prices are good and portions are generous! The pineapple juice was very fresh and we heard them making it just after ordering. The fried noodles were yummy, good portion and with more veggies than you can usually find in other cheap places. We also took the banana pancake, it’s nice to have an option for dessert, it was big enough for 2 people The view at the table in front of the lake is very nice !
View on GoogleMy favourite place on the island. The portions are big, the prices are great, cheap in general, but very cheap considering the serving size. The quality is fantastic, one of the best Nasi Goreng (fried rices I’ve ever had). With an egg inside like usual and a fried egg on top (make sure to ask for it to be cooked less if you like a runny egg), and chicken inside the rice (you can ask for it without) it’s fantastic. If you get the special (spelt spesial in Indonesian) on the nasi or mie goreng you get a piece of fantastically seasoned fried chicken cooked fresh with your meal on the side. Everything is cooked fresh, you’ll be surrounded by the locals (both young and old, don’t feel awkward coming here as a foreigner, even solo, you won’t feel judged at all), it’s open late, the staff are beyond lovely and accomodating to vegetarian requests, they speak enough English for an English speaker with no Indonesian knowledge to get by, and there is a fantastic view (plus sometimes you’ll spot a kitten or two around to pat). I couldn’t ask for anything more and it’s the reason I’ve ended up here almost every night of my trip. The menu is small (I see this as a plus though, they master the dishes they have rather than being average at many), and the wait time isn’t too much, 10 minutes or so (I’ve waited over an hour at some places in tuktuk). My only negative is that people smoke here sometimes, it is open air, but it still sucks. It seems to be the case everywhere in Indonesia though. Check it out, even if you’re on the other side of tuktuk. It’s a nice walk, and if you head towards Laster Johny’s and walk a minute or so past you’ll stumble across an awesome late night fruit shop for desert.
View on GoogleDelicious food, lovely staff, amazing views over the lake. Nasi Goreng Special comes with a crispy fried chicken 🍗. Ayam Sweet and Sour is fantastic also.
View on GoogleBest ice lemon tea in town! The nasi goreng is also super good according to me. Nice view! It was quiet and pleasant but honestly they deserve more customers even if that means the place gets noisy.
