The pork is done very well... flavourful but not dry. Simple dish but enjoyable. Must go place to eat if you are in the area.

The pork grill is authentic and the rest of the dishes are so amazing. Grilled fish is so fresh and delicious. Succulent Batak Karo meals. Another pinpoints for the restaurant is unlike most Batak karo restaurants which are not clean and hygienic, Lau Renun restaurant really maintains cleanliness inside and outside. Additionally behind the restaurant we can enjoy the hills (or mountain) view while we savour our favorite food.

Parking space available. Dining space okay, meat is bit hard to chew. Chilli is delicious.

Probably the best "Ikan Bakar" (BBQ Fish) i ver had. I ordered only 1 grilled fish at the time. But it was so incredibly out of this world, we ordered another portion of grilled fish. Ps. 1 year later, I now returned to this review because im now in Krabi and found that no food could beat the grilled fish from here. This is an underrated restaurant.

Karonese style roast pork. The food are delicious, though I tasted much better BPK in some other places, but it's still good. The fish around lake Toba never disappoints, fresh, juicy, tasty. The sambal and cassava leafs are excellent. Dining and enjoying fresh air and scenery is just lovely experience. We came during peak season, at 2 pm is still very crowded, the food took quite some time around 45 min. The service in North Sumatera is often careless (if not rude), in here it's just so so. During rush hour just make sure they get the order right. We left around 3.30 pm and still very crowded 😱 eventhough many menus are already finished.
