I stopped by Rumah Makan Bintang Bawal mainly for the steamed bawal, and it really lived up to the hype. The fish was the clear highlight, prepared in a way that made the meal feel fresh and satisfying without being heavy. I’d gladly come back if I’m in the area again.

Their bawal steam is one of a kind. Usually the soup is just giving a flavor for the fish but this special soup bring the softiness of the fish even better. The fish also smooth, effortlessly pluck, and so fresh

Ordered ikan bawal, 3 rasa ayam goreng which are very tasty. The place is very clean. Highly recommended.

My first time trying their specialty, namely the steam fish.... Not sure why the place is so famous and crowded; probably, the customer(s) misses the typical home cook lunch or dinner and ambiance.

Very nice steam fish (Bawal) and dishes with rice. Friendly staff and nice environment with air conditioning. Would definitely like to try more in the future.
