Best Putu I have tasted! My regular putu are typically green, made of pandan dessicated coconut with palm sugad filling. This white putu is so tasty even without pandan. Lupis and klepon were also great. Putu is the highlight for me.

Delicious deserts that are unique to this region. Mostly coconut and palm based. The people running the place are very delightful and generous. A kind gentleman walked me through everything they have and recommended me the plate in the picture. I loved it!

Received this from my relatives. It was quite good, but I found many fine black pebbles inside each cake (perhaps came from the palm sugar), which kinda disturbing. Moreover, the shape of the cakes and the amount of the palm sugar was irregular. Yet, the cake was very soft. The white part was plain, the flavor came from dried coconut on top and palm sugar inside that gave both sweet and savory. If you're here and never try this before, you have to! Though I don't think this is the best one in Medan, I would still recommend this place as we all know that everyone has different taste (who knows you might love it), especially because most people said that this is the best one here (I might change my mind after the second try, will revise this if it happens).
