One of the long-established players in the hospitality industry in Medan specializes in serving Cha Sio Rice, a dish that features succulent pork roasted in the unique Medan style. This restaurant is renowned for its expertly prepared pork, which is marinated to perfection and roasted until the skin is crispy while the meat remains tender and flavorful. Diners can expect a delightful combination of textures and tastes, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The inviting atmosphere, along with the rich culinary heritage of the region, contributes to an enjoyable dining experience that showcases the best of Medan's culinary offerings.

It’s a very popular restaurant for it’s meats such as Siobak, Chasio which you can also mix. That’s mainly all they serve except a wide variety of juices. It’s one of the more expensive ones as just a single plate can cost around IDR 130,000. The meat has a sweet taste to it and is great paired with rice and boiled eggs. Nice place to try though when in Medan for sure.

I visited Chasio Asan last September, and I must say, the food was absolutely delicious! The flavors suited my taste perfectly, and everything was prepared to perfection. The last time I went, the seats were full, so we had to wait for a bit, but it was definitely worth it. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for authentic chasio. A great experience overall!

Had ate here previously brought by a local. Was on working trip. So drop by here again. The roasted pork ( sio bak) still as crunchy as ever even though cooked earlier. Came with watercress soup. set cost 70k which is on high side. Heard this is standard price for this meat.
