Finally tried this legendary spot~ The noodles and toppings were good, but honestly, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. Still a solid, classic bowl of noodles worth trying at least once if you visit Medan.
View on GoogleNice shredded chicken and char siew noodles, order this instead of the wanton noodles then add on soup for a better meal. The wanton is big and juicy with sesame oil. Affordable noodles, chewy good and can buy frozen to bring home. Recommended by friend Soup is abit tasteless; chilli is red but like green chilli, not spicy
View on GoogleEvery time my mother in law goes to Medan, she always brings back Tiong Sim to Jakarta.. Honestly, even after a 2 hour flight + around 1 hour drive to home, the taste is still so tasty. That alone already says a lot. I really can’t find any mie pangsit in Jakarta that taste like this. Finally got to try it fresh at the place and I LOVE IT 🤤 The noodles are thin, so it doesn’t feel heavy or overwhelming at all. The flavor is savory with a slight sweet touch, very comforting 🍲 But the real star for me is the acar cabai 💯 When you bite everything together, you get a mix of spicy, sour, fresh, and savory… and it instantly boosts your appetite 😮💨✨ I ended up eating it 2 to 3 times before going back to Jakarta 🫶🍜
View on GoogleTasty Chinese-style noodles with flavorful broth and generous toppings. A cozy spot for a quick, satisfying meal. Service is friendly and prices are reasonable
View on GoogleI came here for dinner after a friend recommended it as one of the legendary noodle spots in Indonesia. I ordered the bakmi pangsit jumbo for around Rp83,000, and it was amazing, the taste truly lives up to its reputation. The service was quick, and the family running the place was so friendly. The old-school vibe of the restaurant really adds to its charm and makes it feel like a true legend. If you’re ever in Medan, this place is a must-try for any noodle lover!
