RM Gunawan is very famous local authentic restaurant in Labuhan Batu Utara. It is located on the river side of Kualuh river near the bridge. We can enjoy brown river stream while enjoying our food. The food specialty of this restaurant is authentic mandailing food. The most famous is the cat fish (baung) sour soup, but anyang chicken and belacan sambal are the most recommended. It serves many kind of beverages. We can order fruit juices, but we can find also instant whole young coconut jelly (kelapa muda). To find seats in this restaurant, it is better if we reserve in advance.

Visiting this place during business trip lunch break. Not that crowded, located at the riverside yet a bit harder to park the car. They known best at providing "Ikan Baung", one of local legend fish in North Sumatera, Indonesia. However, the taste was in a standard range and I feel for telling that the waitress were less kindly and smile at the customer. Poor
