From Benteng Kuto Besak, after walking around the Grand Mosque and museum, the journey finally anchored here. When arriving at the entrance, someone approached us and offered a boat rental at a rate of Rp250,000 for three people round trip. The rate was still negotiable, down to about Rp230,000. However, if time is not too rushed, it is better to go straight to the pier and take the official queue. That way, we can join other groups and pay the standard rate which is generally more economical. An interesting experience, as well as a small note to be wiser in choosing travel options when visiting.

Pulau yang didalamnya terdapat pagoda yang selalu digunakan untuk perayaan Imlek. Kami berkunjung dengan menyeberangi sungai Musi melalui belakang pabrik pupuk Sriwijaya dengan menyewa perahu 100.000 pulang-pergi. Untuk hari-hari ramai kita cukup membayar 5.000 per orang untuk sekali menyebrangi anak sungai selebar 50 meteran.

Ini adalah delta Sungai Musi yg terbentuk dr endapan lumpur. Pas kesini di bulan Desember, agak sepi, katanya rame kalau ada perayaan hari besar orang china. Secara umum masih oke, hanya toilet umumnya saja yg menurut saya sangat tidak layak dan menimbulkan kesan menjijikkan (maaf 🙏)
