The monument to 40.000 victims is located right in the center of parepare city, this monument consists of statues carved into a large wall telling the history of the people's resistance against Dutch colonial rule. Around the monument there are sellers of iced coconut drinks and juices in various flavors. This monument faces the grand mosque of pare pare city, making it a suitable place to rest after dhuhr or asr prayers. Its location is also close to pasar senggol, which gets busy starting at 16.00 WITA.

One of the historical places in Kota Parepare. It is located opposite Masjid Raya Parepare. Many street vendors sell around this place. There are sellers of es campur, pempek, nasi goreng, and others. The place is comfortable. Just a little noisy with the chirping of swiftlets.

Tonight with my little family enjoying snacks around here. No need to worry about the kids getting out of sight either, because they play in the middle of the monument courtyard so we can still keep an eye on them 😇
