This stone sometimes makes the sound of a horse neighing, which in Bugis is called makkikki. So this stone is called batu makkikki'e. This is the origin of the name Bacukiki.

One of the cultural sites located in Watang Bacukiki Parepare. The last time I came here was in my 1st year of high school, accompanying a cousin visiting from Malaysia who was curious and wanted to see our ancestors' hometown.
