Authentic Sulawesi fried chicken, there is also grilled chicken. The chicken is soft and juicy, and the spices are also absorbed. If it comes to the holiday season or on weekends, the queue may be long.
View on GoogleThis is a must-visit restaurant when you’re in Makassar. The fried chicken is great, and the sambal is really unique and flavorful. The satay with peanut sauce is also really good. It’s a place you’ll want to come back to. Don’t miss it if you want to try the local food!
View on GoogleAt first glance, the fried chicken seems sweet (because of the brown-ish appearance) but surprisingly it’s not. They fry the chicken in some coconut water I assume. Their version of Sulawesi fried chicken is quite unique because the chicken not completely “fried” and it’s not crispy like you imagine fried chicken would be. Also even though it looks like the chicken is flavored well, the spices actually not that strong. Also because it’s a “ayam kampung” so the portions are small, order 2 pieces I suggest you do. I enjoyed it but nothing special though. The chicken satay though, so good. It’s full of the meat, no skin or other parts whatsoever. The taste is on the sweeter side. The price, honestly, overpriced. We ordered 8 pcs chicken, 2 chicken soups, 5 sticks of chicken satay, 3 drinks for 400 thousands rupiah. Overall, if you’re ever visiting Makassar, this is worth to try. Just need to dig deeper into your wallet though.
View on GoogleUpon first glance, Ayam Goreng Sulawesi Ibu Tini seemed sweet, but its flavor profile pleasantly surprised me. The chicken soup was rich and flavorful, while the chili was a satisfying kick that paired well with the chicken. The satay with peanut sauce was also a delightful addition.
View on GoogleIt will gain higher rating if they respond better towards feedback. We shared that one of the Ayam Panggang was very tough with the server, nothing was done. We didn’t finish that chicken and we again share the feedback with cashier. Paid full amount. We told her that we didn’t even finish that tough meat and she wanted to refund the amount with black face. It’s not about the money, we can afford to pay, it is the attitude and willingness to customer feedback. We didn’t take back the money in the end. I rather support other eateries.
