I've been coming to La Piccola since they first opened, and it's still one of my favorite places for Italian food in Makassar. The restaurant is run by an Italian chef, and you can really taste the difference. Their classic pizzas are what keep me coming back. I had the Margherita this time, and it was excellent—beautifully blistered crust, fresh mozzarella, balanced tomato sauce, and simple ingredients done right. I also appreciate that they aren't afraid to experiment with local flavors, like the Pizza Coto Makassar. It wasn't really my personal favorite, but I like that they're willing to try something different while keeping their classic Italian dishes consistently excellent. The place itself is easy to miss from the outside—a small red brick building with a simple appearance. Once you're inside, though, it feels cozy and welcoming. I especially like the open pizza oven, where you can watch the pizzas being prepared. The staff have always been warm, friendly, and helpful. Even after all these years, the service has remained consistently welcoming, which is one of the reasons I keep coming back. La Piccola is definitely one of the more premium dining options in Makassar, but I think the quality, authenticity, and consistency make it worth every visit. If you're looking for authentic Italian pizza, this is easily one of the first places I'd recommend.

La Piccola Italy in Makassar had such a nice atmosphere, and I really enjoyed the food. I ended up going back more than once during my stay because the pizza and gnocchi were consistently good. What stood out most for me was the staff — they made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. Terima Kasih :)

as a born-and-raise in makassar, this resto is really new to me. you can feel the atmosphere is very different and unique, like you are somewhere in Europe. talking about the food is good, some of them are new-taste to me (yea we rarely take a bite of italian food). i love the pizza! really crisp and fancy topping (you have to try some). the service is fun and cutee! i want to join them in greeting all the customers, "ciao bella"💃🏼💃🏼❤️ going back to this place? yes please🙏

We've been here on our first and last day of Sulawesi adventure. Meanwhile, we drove around all south Sulawesi area. Food is brilliant in Sulawesi, however even as Indonesian resident for nearly a decade, I need a break from local food from time to time. This was it. The place with food from Europe that even my Indonesian wife craved after 1.5 week in Sulawesi. I truly enjoyed also chili oil (brilliant!) and simple, easy going, cultural music on the speakers. Simple place with kind staff and delicious foods prepared right on the spot. We're off back to home in Bali, but this place is on our list of loved places around the world now. Saved, remembered, and looking forward to visiting when next time in Makassar 😊

If you lookin' for authentic Italian Pizza, this resto is the best place to choose, one of my fav. Italian resto in the city... not only the menus, the atmosphere, ornament/details/interior feels like in Italy but cozy and homey... from appetizer, main course and dessert worth it to try, the price not so expensive compare others resto which serve Italian foods...
