Visited this place on a Tuesday morning around 8am, and the place was quiet and empty, which made for a peaceful breakfast experience. The ambiance is nice and clean, with the option to sit in an AC room or non-AC area, which is always a plus depending on your mood or the weather. Service was fast and efficient, though I feel it could be a bit warmer or friendlier to enhance the experience. We ordered their bubur and ayam lemak—and I have to say, the bubur was especially delicious. Comforting and flavorful, perfect for a morning meal. The pricing felt reasonable and standard for Surabaya, not too cheap but not overpriced either. Overall, I liked this place and would consider coming back again for a chill breakfast.

This place is pretty big, they have a great parking lot, and plenty of tables outdoor or indoor, which is great. Some Kopitiam can be cramped, without AC, and relatively hot inside but Laoban provides a comfortable space, one of the best actually. Even their toilet is above average, clean, smell good, and spacious. We went there on Saturday morning, not many people there but not empty either. The staff were good and friendly. As for the food, it's good enough for me, I in general don't really fancy a kopitiam foods other than Kaya toast and some coffee. They have pretty extensive menu, there's bread, noodles, and rice, one for everybody. Give this place a shot if you're around.

I feel like i eat here a little too frequent, coming in 3 times a week but i never get bored either 🤭. The food and interior decor is top tier here, with indoor and outdoor seating. Loved the Mie Jasio and Nasi Lemak as my main course meal. My fav dimsums are Mantau, Siomay and Kulit tahu. I was really impressed with their service too, greeted with a warm welcome with their serving time faster than i get out of bed 😝 If you ever come around Surabaya, come and try this place. Its staple food perfect for you and your family and friends or even for alone time.

Didnt notice i mis-order my coffee until i took a sip. The tea color was so dark i thought its coffee. 🥲 Toast is quite nice, though kaya jam is spread thinly on a very thinly sliced bread. Suitable for those who enjoy crispy food or crackers. Me, i like my bread thick, crispy outside but still soft in the centre. Half boiled egg was actually 3/4 boiled egg.... Banana fritter was so oily. I have a friend whose motto "all fried is nice" but it surely not applied here.

Finally, have time to try this place. The area is quite big with many tables for groups. They served Singaporean food at a reasonable price because of the large portions. Plenty of parking and an outdoor seating area was good during night
